PV Keeps on Trucking

So it was a slow summer and it looked like it was going to be a slow fall. I couldn't have been more wrong. We've seen and added some new faces to our family. We've seen one of the scariest poetry slams in Portland's history (which was one by a low down dirty cheater). And the Mt. Mafia hit us with some killer work. So what to do from here...

Well we're continuously trying to come up with a decent regular schedule that will keep you all entertained. I think we've got it. Stay in tune for our reincarnation of the Jazz Spoken Word night and our new Micro Press poetry night. We're also working on an all female poetry evening featuring Patricia Smith. This will be part of a quarterly women in poetry series.

For all of those who make it down all the time..Thank You!!! For those of you who can't make it...god bless you. you're really missing out. For those of you who would like to come but don't....there's no damn excuse. Get your butts down to The North Star Cafe on any Tuesday and we'll welcome you to our family.

I had to ask myself. What the hell do we need a blog for. We have a Myspace page. We have a website. We send out the newsletter...and most importanly nobody ever reads that crap anyway. Well I guess here is what I've come up with....I'm bored. But that's not it. We also needed a place where people could share information that isn't seen, read and muddled up by millions of freaks, geeks and weirdos. Am I talking about Myspace?? Of course I am. So here is what I propose.
