Tuesday, March 4th with Port Veritas
Weekly recap from Ellyn Touchette
This Tuesday night yielded another packed room, giving the regulars a glimpse of hope that there may be a positive correlation between weather and awesome poet density. The open mic was an emotional roller coaster of laughs, tears, covers, and a curious number of 9/11 poems.
After perhaps the greatest hosting blunder since last week's Billy Collins incident, Sarah Sapienza took the stage with a brilliantly humorous piece about werewolves, women, and cheeseburgers. The rest of this incredible set was a stunning show of strength and vulnerability, winning the audience with flying colors.
Be sure to stop by next week for your second to last chance to compete for a slot in Port Veritas' semi finals!
